Presentation of the Dell Pro webcam (WB5023): 2K for 129 euros

Dell introduced its new Dell Pro webcam (WB5023). The camera supports 2K QHD with 24 or 30 frames per second (fps), Full HD at 24, 30 and 60 fps and also HD at 24.30 and 60 fps. Dell relies on the Sony STARVIS sensor for this model, which should also produce a decent image with digital zoom (up to 4x possible).

The optics in front of the sensor are multi-element lenses with autofocus, an aperture of f/2.0 and 4x digital zoom. The field of view is 65 and 78 degrees. There is also a privacy shutter you can use to cover the lens. In fact, Dell still uses USB-A so that the camera can be connected to the PC. It’s a shame, I would have liked a decoupled USB-C cable here, as some computers and notebooks may no longer have USB-A at all. The Dell Pro Webcam (WB5023) is available now for $129.
