Techniker Krankenkasse: TK-App again relies on the Post-Ident procedure

You’ve probably noticed that the video identification process is considered dangerous, and security researchers have proven that this measure can be circumvented. As a result, the video identification procedure for the issuance of means of identification for use in the telematics (IT) infrastructure was then declared inadmissible and on August 9, 2022 it was decided that health insurance companies should suspend the video identification procedure with immediate effect. The Techniker Krankenkasse has also adapted its application accordingly. The video identification process is now disabled. Instead, you now have to resort to post-identification procedures – this apparently in general, not just for the TK-Safe.
