TV makers faced a 16.8% decline (about 2.2 million TVs) and sales fell 9.6%. On the other hand, the average price of all televisions sold increased by 8.7% to 688 euros. Home Audio also recorded a decline in sales, here by 1.4% or 398 million euros, although the Home Audio Systems and Loudspeakers product groups recorded growth. Sales of audio/video accessories increased by 14% to 735 million euros. Game consoles like the PlayStation or the Xbox recorded less than 17% to 234 million euros. But that should also be due to the low availability of the PlayStation 5.

The only segment that has not experienced growth in telecommunications devices for private use is that of traditional telephones. Core wearables, such as fitness trackers and smartwatches, increased sales by 9.5% to 629 million euros. The number of items increased by 1.8% to more than 3.2 million and the average price also increased by 7.6% to 193 euros. The smartphone division recorded a 16.1% increase in sales in the first half of 2022, to just under 6.2 billion euros. The number of units sold rose to almost 10.2 million devices (+4.0%) and the average price increased by 11.6% to 605 euros.
The desktop PC, laptop and tablet product segments also saw sales declines of -13.5, -10.1 and -14.7%. The drop in sales is even smaller, since the average prices of these devices have increased at the same time. The situation is similar for monitors, with an 11.8% drop in sales and around 20% fewer devices sold. However, the average price increased by 10.3%.
Things are a little more colorful with household appliances: large household appliances were able to achieve sales growth of 8.3% to 5.2 billion euros. Small household appliances, on the other hand, recorded a drop of 4.8% to nearly 3.2 billion euros in turnover.
