Richarlison’s follow-ups in the dying minutes of Tottenham’s win at Nottingham Forest were criticized by Reds manager Steve Cooper.
The Brazilian striker set up Harry Kane for Spurs’ second goal in Antonio Conte’s side’s 2-0 win, but the former Everton striker has upset players and Forest fans with some displays a few minutes later.
Receiving possession on the left wing in Forest’s half, the 25-year-old made a few holds before passing the ball to a team-mate.
He was quickly mowed down by Brennan Johnson and on Sky Sports co-commentary, former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher said: “Woah! That pisses people off. You can’t do that. But what the hell what is he doing?
“He just annoys people with that boy, Richarlison. He’s disturbing me. What do you expect from Johnson? You don’t tolerate this, but…”
And after the game, Cooper said: “I wouldn’t want my players to do this, which Richarlison did. But if it’s accepted at Spurs, it has nothing to do with me.
“But that wouldn’t be accepted here, that’s for sure.”
