The 97-inch LG G2 OLED evo Gallery Edition is ready to launch

LG previously announced a G2 OLED evo Gallery Edition with a proud 97-inch diagonal. However, the TV model highlighted in early 2022 is not yet available. According to the South Koreans, this should soon change. The oversized television will be exhibited at IFA 2022. It is ready for release. Pricing and release date details for individual regions will be provided “in the coming weeks.”

Originally, LG had given 25,000 euros as the price for the 97-inch G2 OLED. Let’s see if there is still an upward correction here given inflation. The 97-inch LG OLED 97G2 completes the LG OLED range with diagonals of 42, 48, 55, 65, 77, 83 and 88 inches. At the IFA stand, however, the manufacturer also wants to duly present its 86QNED99 8K-LCD with mini-LED backlight and the 88Z2 8K-OLED. Apart from the increased diagonal, nothing new on the LG OLED evo Gallery Edition TV G2. Additionally, a glowing evo panel serves as the base, while the Alpha 9 Gen5 acts as the SoC.

It goes without saying that well-known features such as HDMI 2.1, 4K with 120Hz, ALLM, VRR and of course eARC remain on board. Given the diagonal and placement of the G2 series in the upper segment, however, it can be assumed that the price of the 97-inch TV will also be huge.
