The organizers of gamescom 2022, Koelmesse and the games industry association, draw a positive conclusion. Despite the challenges, the gaming fair ran extremely well again after the mandatory Corona break on site. Around 265,000 visitors were counted and more than 130 million views were recorded for the show program on Saturday evening. About 1,100 exhibitors from 53 countries were invited. 75% of exhibitors came from abroad.

It should however be mentioned that many big names were absent from the show or had already canceled in advance: Activision Blizzard, Electronic Arts, Meta, CD Projekt RED, Rockstar Games, Sony and Nintendo, for example, decided not to be present at the show. gamescom 2022. 25,000 professional visitors, around half of them from abroad, came to the fair.

Gamescom 2023 runs from August 23-27. It will open on August 22, 2023 with gamescom: Opening Night Live. So next year you will also have the chance to follow the games fair live on site or in the form of several streams and video recordings.
