Samsung has announced a comprehensive camera update for the Galaxy S22 smartphone models for South Korea. For example, you unlock so-called hyperlapse videos for telephoto. Additionally, the built-in QR scanner has been optimized for easier use.
Hyperlapse shots are already possible on the Galaxy S22 with the wide-angle and ultra-wide-angle lenses. From now on, this will also be possible with the telephoto lens. The QR scanner should in turn cover a larger image area as a feature. Other improvements, according to Samsung, relate to HDR performance and color reproduction. In addition, RAM requirements and AI performance in photo and video modes and especially night mode could be improved. Stabilization has also been optimized.
The described updates will soon reach the Galaxy S22, S22+ and S22 Ultra in South Korea. Optimizations can also be expected internationally, but it may take us a bit longer to start distribution here as well. Samsung is also launching hyperlapse videos for the telephoto lens and QR code scanner improvements on the Samsung Galaxy S21. However, the other optimizations are reserved for the S22.
