Google Contacts: the Android application gets new filtering options

Google introduced so-called “search chips” to Gmail just over two years ago. These are small buttons directly below the search bar, with which you can refine the search with a few clicks and thus get the result faster. A reader from Android Police has now shared a screenshot of the Google Contacts app for Android, which now also has these buttons.

With a trick, you can quickly filter the displayed contacts based on company contacts, contacts with phone number or email. Everything seems to be currently in testing and has not yet been distributed to all users. For example, on my Pixel, I still don’t see this change, even with the latest version of the Contacts app.
