Trailer: WEIRD: The Al Yankovic Story

My first exposure to Al Yankovic was through his mid-80s parody songs (including Eat It) and watching the movie UHF – Channels with Limited Hope. Dating back to 1989, this is a beautiful slapstick featuring Stanley Spadowski’s fantastic speech at Uncle Kasper’s Clubhouse. Al Yankovic did a lot of crazy things, the satires on many songs are certainly well known. Now there will soon be one biopic “Al weird”. But he doesn’t play himself, instead Daniel Radcliffe steps in – who everyone probably knows from Harry Potter. The Roku Channel will premiere Weird: The Al Yankovic Story at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 8, 2022. Roku Channel subscribers can then view the film on November 4. Let’s see if it comes to other countries.
