Sony introduced the HT-A3000 and HT-A5000

Sony is launching two new soundbars in German stores. The HT-A3000 and HT-A5000 should be available from October. The HT-A3000 model has an RRP of 699 euros and the HT-A5000 will cost 999 euros. If you want to add rear speakers to the set you’re going to have to dig deeper into your pockets because if you want the wireless SA-RS3S you can get it for 499 euros, the SA-RS5 for 799 euros.

The A3000 has 3.1 channels, three front speakers – including a dedicated center speaker for clear dialogue – and a built-in dual subwoofer designed to deliver deep bass. With the Vertical Surround Engine and S-Force PRO Front Surround, the A3000 creates virtual surround sound from all directions. This allows listeners to hear Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. Full specs can be viewed here.

The A5000 does more, it’s a 5.1.2 channel soundbar with support for Dolby Atmos, DTS:X and Sony audio technologies like Vertical Surround Engine and S-Force PRO Front Surround.

Soundbars are compatible with Google Assistant-enabled devices with Chromecast built-in and Amazon Alexa-enabled devices. Users simply add the soundbar to their speaker group through the Google Home app, and they can use their voice to start music playback, change volume, and perform many other functions. Spotify Connect or Apple AirPlay 2 and Bluetooth 2 are also included.
