Battery capacities for all four models

On September 7, Apple introduced the new iPhone 14, 14 Plus, 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max during its keynote. Not all models ship on the same day this year. While three of the four smartphones will be delivered to customers from September 16, the iPhone 14 Plus will only be delivered on October 7.

Apple does not provide any information on the battery capacities of its new iPhone 14 series, but US media outlet MacRumors obtained this information from an official Chinese database. The same database gave the battery capacities of the four iPhone 13 models and the 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pros before those devices launched last year.

Three out of four iPhone 14 models have a larger battery capacity than the iPhone 13 lineup, with the exception of the iPhone 14 Pro Max, which comes with a slightly smaller battery than the iPhone 13 Pro Max . According to Apple, the new iPhone 14 Pro Max lasts 1 hour longer than its predecessor in local video playback. While the 14 Pro Max’s battery capacity is slightly lower than the 13 Pro Max’s, the A16 bionic chip is more efficient than the A15, which should lead to better battery life in practice.
