Niantic and Marvel Announce MARVEL World of Heroes

If you look at Niantic’s latest games, you might come to the conclusion that some things didn’t work so well – some things got dropped. During the Disney & Marvel GAMES SHOWCASE, Disney’s D23 Expo 2022, Marvel and Niantic announced a partnership.

The two companies are working together on the new MARVEL World of Heroes game. MARVEL World of Heroes is an AR mobile game that merges the Marvel universe with the real world. It is expected to be released worldwide in 2023.

In MARVEL World of Heroes, players create their own identity as a superhero with a story of their own. They must patrol their neighborhoods to thwart crimes, complete important superhero missions, and fend off threats from other dimensions. Leveling up unlocks new gear and skills.

Let’s see if, after the Settlers, Harry Potter and the like, MARVEL heroes will soon be on Niantic’s hit list. Maybe people are too tired of the subject.
