Assassin’s Creed Invictus is meant to be a true multiplayer title set in the Assassin’s Creed universe.
Good news for fans who can’t get enough of Assassin’s Creed! The golden times are coming for you: a multiplayer Assassin’s Creed now joins the many solo game announcements of recent days. It comes from up-and-coming developers, is part of Assassin’s Creed Infinity, and could be quite exciting.
Sexism issues at Ubisoft: The French developer and publisher has been accused of a toxic corporate culture since July 2020. These include high-profile issues of sexism, misogyny and discrimination, which are believed to be deeply rooted in the company. Although Ubisoft has already taken action, such as exchanging management personnel and openly commenting on the allegations, many employees within the company believe that these measures are not enough.
Assassin’s Creed Invictus is for multiplayer fans
Assassin’s Creed as far as the eye can see: Ubisoft has announced a whole bunch of new AC titles over the past few days. As far as we know, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Red, Jade and Hexe are pure single player games. That’s why AC Invictus should now also be a multiplayer offshoot that aims for as wide a target group as possible.

As part of Infinity: As GamingBolt writes, Assassin’s Creed Invictus, like games named Hexe and Red, should belong to the future AC Infinity hub. This piece of the puzzle aims to bring back the multiplayer part that Assassin’s Creed has been missing for many years. Not since AC Unity had a multiplayer game.
What awaits us? Vice President and Executive Producer Marc-Alexis Côté told VGC that Invictus is being developed primarily for the general public. The multiplayer title must be as accessible as possible and appeal to as many people as possible. It’s more crowd-focused than previous Assassin’s Creed multiplayer modes.
Rainbow Six and For Honor expertise: In order to do this for the best, people have been removed from the Rainbow Six Siege and For Honor development teams. They have to make sure the Assassin’s Creed Invictus experience is successful.
So what could from the point of view of history also the animus play a greater role. When we can expect an AC Invictus release is not yet certain. But that should take some time, after all, Assassin’s Creed Mirage will arrive in 2023. You can see a trailer here:
