Celtic supporters gave a minute’s applause in memory of the Queen ahead of the cinch Premiership game against St Mirren at Paisley.
Some Hoops fans chanted ‘if you hate the Royals clap your hands’, while a banner featuring the same phrase could be seen outside.
Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou previously expressed the club’s wish for fans to be “respectful” during any tributes.
The Glasgow club have been subject to disciplinary proceedings by UEFA after fans displayed an ‘F*** the Crown’ banner during Wednesday’s Champions League draw against Shakhtar Donetsk in Poland.
There were disruptions to the tributes at some of Saturday’s Premiership matches.
A minute’s silence at Ibrox was interrupted by Dundee United supporters. Derogatory boos and chants could be heard coming from around the corner of the stadium housing several hundred United supporters before Rangers played God Save the King.
In a brief statement, United later said they had “reached a hand to inform our supporters of the pre-match arrangements in the hope that the minute’s silence will be observed”.
There were similar reactions ahead of Hibernian’s game with Aberdeen at Easter Road, where boos and chants were audible for a minute of applause.
The Scottish Football Association had postponed all matches the previous weekend following the Queen’s death and had given clubs the option of whether and how to honor the resumption of matches.
In a joint statement with the Scottish Professional Football League on Monday, the SFA said: “This week, as a sign of respect and in line with the national period of mourning, local clubs may wish to observe a period of silence and/or play the national anthem just before kick-off, and players may want to wear black armbands.
