Asus ROG Phone 6D: the new gaming smartphone is official

At the end of August, Felix had already reported on the Asus ROG Phone 6D. At this time, the first rendering images of mobile devices appeared, which now turn out to be correct. The MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ serves as the SoC for new gaming smartphones. This model appears as a regular and as an “ultimate variant”. The latter offers more storage space – up to 512 GB. The standard model has a maximum of 256 GB.

As for RAM, it’s up to 16 GB in both cases. Other technical data of the two ROG Phone 6Ds include a 6.78-inch diagonal OLED display with a resolution of 2448 x 1080 pixels, 10-bit color depth, HDR10+ and a refresh rate of 165 Hz. the main camera you can count on 50 (wide angle) + 13 (ultra wide angle) + 5 (macro) megapixels. The selfie camera is 12 MP. The fairly ample 6,000 mAh battery can be recharged quickly with 65 watts.

A special feature of the Asus ROG Phone 6D Ultimate Edition is that there is a small PMOLED display for visual effects on the back, while the standard version is limited to the ROG logo with RGB lighting. All accessories sold by Asus for the ROG Phone 6 and 6 Pro are also compatible with the 6D models.

A special feature of the ROG Phone 6D Ultimate is that there is the so-called “AeroActive Portal” on the back. Hidden behind is nothing more than a ventilation duct with a motorized hinge that opens to reveal a direct duct to the internal components. This allows the optional AeroActive Cooler 6 to deliver better cooling performance.

The Asus ROG Phone 6D is commercially available in Space Gray. There are currently no German prices. In Britain, Asus quotes the equivalent of around 913 euros as the price of the ROG Phone 6D. The ROG Phone 6D Ultimate starts at 1,370 euros and then comes bundled with the AeroActive Cooler 6.
