The iPhone 14 Pro has been available since Friday and comes with an all-new 48-megapixel quad-pixel sensor for the first time. As MacRumours reports, there are apparently issues with this for some users (via 12, 3, 4) who use apps like Snapchat, TikTok or Instagram and want to record something there with the camera.

The camera starts shaking uncontrollably and cannot record clear video. Since the stock camera app works fine, it could be a software bug that causes sensor lag stabilization to behave strangely.

YouTuber Luke Miani also noticed this in his video and says that after this behavior the normal camera app couldn’t record proper video anymore and he had to trade in the iPhone in the store.

Is it at the Creators of the Halide camera app, this is a hardware issue. The issue occurs with apps that have sensor stabilization enabled (usually video and photo capture). The optical image stabilization module was allegedly faulty and the camera had to be replaced.
