South Korea’s 2022 World Cup home kit has dropped – and it may be the tournament shirt.
20 years ago this year, the Koreans co-hosted the greatest show on Earth with Japan and they’ve been setting the bar for style ever since. A few weeks ago, the Blue Samurai released a stunning home kit and a stunning away top. With rumors of bold South Korean jerseys, we’re looking forward to this one.
Adidas and Puma have already released their World Cup kits, followed by the Swoosh – the Red Devils’ Nike away shirt has also been dropped. Almost all World Cup shirts have now been released ahead of the November tournament.

South Korea’s 2022 World Cup home kit set to become cult favorite in Qatar
South Korea is extremely cool as a nation, whether we’re talking about their Netflix dramas or Son Heung-min. It’s no surprise that in the two decades since they hosted the World Cup, they’ve released some gorgeous jerseys, including 2020’s pink/white wavy top and that stunning band of black/white tiger.
Even the 2002 World Cup jersey with the graphic lines on the base is iconic. This lush coral red has instantly become synonymous with the nation – and it’s another beautiful strip in a long line of classics.
The ‘tiger stripes’ of the last away shirt are back – this time in a subtle graphic on the shoulders, while there’s no white at all. Korea went red and black, building on that Red Devils moniker.
“Brash, bold and energetic, the South Korea home kit is centered around the Dokkaebi motif,” Nike says of it. “The fiery moniker represents the fierce mentality of a proud nation and is amplified by vibrant global red and a tiger stripe sleeve graphic representing strength and power.”
It’s an absolute work of art, with the beautiful icon on the back of the neck.
It’s incredibly good: it’s hard to see a fault. The World Cup wouldn’t be the same without South Korea these days and their style is just one of the reasons.

The match version of the jersey is the official jersey that players will wear for matches. The only differences are minimal, usually the material is slightly different and the badges and logos are woven into the shirt rather than printed.
