But here you will find the best Umbro football boots currently on the market…
In our Umbro Velocita VI test, we particularly appreciated the lightness of this boot. Weighing in at 190g – the same as Nike Mercurial Vapors – this is one area where the Velocita VI sits comfortably alongside the best on the market. In terms of comfort, they also do the trick, with a thick, sock-like structure giving you warmth, protection and support, while allowing your feet to breathe. The laces are also made of very high quality wool.
We also love the design. The large Umbro logo is a bold middle finger for those obsessed with the latest releases from Nike and Adidas, shouting, “There’s no school like old school.”
A slight drawback was the rough material on the shaft, which does not caress the ball, but instead allows it to skim the surface. Overall it’s a great boot, though.
