Big update for iPhone 14 and 14 Pro released

With the camera application, the iPhone offers a good solution for the majority of users. In the past, Apple placed a few more toggles to quickly change some things, but the user doesn’t have detailed control over the photo taken. There are plenty of alternatives in the app store, my camera app of choice for manual settings and RAW photography is Halide. The app is well maintained and puts all the settings you need at the user’s fingertips.

As usual for the launch of a new iPhone, an update was released this year, bringing the version to 2.9. With the new version, it is possible to capture 48 megapixel RAW files and switch to 12 megapixels directly from the camera user interface. Additionally, Halide can now also save 48-megapixel HEIC/JPG files if desired. So you have the size with all the details and also the processed data and you don’t have to post-edit so much. In addition, the manual focus is also found in the depth recording mode, that is, in the front camera.

The update is now available in the App Store.
