iOS 16: Developer Beta 7 is here

Apple launched the second beta version of iOS 16.1 for developers last night and changes nothing major to the operating system. However, there are a few minor changes worth mentioning (via MacRumors).

With iOS 16, Apple reintroduced the battery percentage display when using a smartphone with Face ID. However, the battery icon indicated a fully charged battery and the percentage of the charge level. With the second beta, the battery level is now also visualized by the icon. So if only 50% remains, the icon is only half full. The font has also been slightly adjusted.

When pasting cached data from one app to another, iOS 16 asks if the user wants the action or if it should be blocked. Over the past few days, however, reports have piled up on the Internet that this query pops up quite regularly and often annoyingly as soon as content is copied. The bug is known and will be fixed with iOS 16.1, as the query does not appear as often in the second beta. However, Apple will not wait for 16.1 to be released, but will release a separate update in advance.

The same goes for the bug with the shaky camera. This has not yet been fixed in the second beta, Apple will certainly release an incremental update for this as well.
