The England 2022 World Cup away kit is here – and it’s undeniably stunning.
Nike traveled back in time to the 1990 World Cup and took inspiration from one of the most popular away kits the Three Lions had ever worn. But this one doesn’t look too much of a relic, with the design updated accordingly for 2022.
Adidas and Puma have already released their World Cup kits, followed by the Swoosh – the Three Lions Nike home shirt has also been dropped. Almost all World Cup shirts have now been released ahead of the November tournament.

England’s 2022 World Cup away kit could be the most unanimously popular of a generation
Everyone seems to know the score. Either the New England shirt is too jazzy or not jazzy enough; there’s been a feeling in the past from some that Nike just doesn’t have obtain the England national team and as we all know there is no fun for some.
But it’s as close as you can get to releasing a shirt that everyone loves. The Euro 2020 blue change stripe was bold but divisive, while the 2018 World Cup jersey was pretty enough but not particularly stunning. This one is both subtle and stunning, utilizing the same home effort blues and delivering something of a kit that feels genuinely different to anything the England squad has had in years.
The clues for 1990 are clear. The collar is lovely, the navy is well chosen too. While a deep crimson – like Liverpool’s home shirt – would have been an easy win, this is a lighter red, closer to the 1966 vintage. .
And considering the summer’s “neon-tinted” Lioness away shirt, it’s the Three Lions’ first traditional red top in quite a while. It’s nice to have him back and yet he feels fresh and thoughtful.
The home shirt might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but the away shirt is one that could become a cult favourite, especially if England have a good tournament. It’s the kind of outfit that goes well with a jacket, which TFF Have to say it’s a relief (we’re not looking forward to pub gardens in November). The sizing of all Nike football kits is quite natural for your size, although the cuffs and collar can be a little tight if you’re looking for a more fitted fit.

What’s the difference between the match and regular versions of the Nike England 2022 World Cup Away Kit?
The match version of the jersey is the official jersey that players will wear for matches. The only differences are minimal, usually the material is slightly different and the badges and logos are woven into the shirt rather than printed.
