Chromecast officially launching with Google TV (HD) in 2022

Google today officially introduced the new Chromecast with Google TV (HD), the device is available now in stores for €39.99. Basically, no new information has been added to the latest leaks, the new Chromecast streams in maximum 1080p HDR and does not use the current Wi-Fi 6 / Wi-Fi 6E or Bluetooth 5.3 standards. Snow White is available as a color option. According to the latest information, the Amlogic S805X2 should act as the SoC, which then also masters AV1 decoding, but represents a significant downgrade compared to the S905X3 of the 4K model in all other respects. 1.5GB of RAM should be on board – the 4K model offers 2GB.
