Kieran Tierney admits he sought advice on his new role at Arsenal from Scottish team-mate Greg Taylor.
Gunners manager Mikel Arteta has recently adopted the reverse full-back system that Ange Postecoglou introduced at Celtic last season.
Former Hoops left-back Tierney was familiar with the role given his keen interest in all things Celtic and his regular conversations with Taylor, who moved to Parkhead weeks after his friend left for north London.
Tierney said of Taylor’s recent form: “He’s been brilliant, inverted full-back, and that’s how we play there, so I watch him every week trying to take advice from him.
“And it was great to see him do well because he’s a great guy. I’m very close to him, I talk to him a lot, so I buzz for him.
“We watch other people’s games and we always text each other after games.
“It’s a new role for me and a role he’s really comfortable in.
“It’s great to watch him, he’s been one of Celtic’s best players this season.
“Greg’s attitude is brilliant and I’m delighted to see him doing so well, a great guy who deserves all the credit he’s getting at the moment.”
