Logitech has with it G Cloud Handheld announced a new handheld game console that should be of particular interest to Xbox gamers who rely on cloud gaming. Working with Logitech, Microsoft now wants to bring its fully supported games to a handheld and thereby expand availability to external devices.
A handheld for the cloud community
Even though cloud gaming remains a niche market in Germany, Microsoft is investing more and more in this direction. We can already stream Game Pass titles to other devices such as tablets and smartphones through Xbox Cloud Gaming, allowing us to even play big titles like Halo on mobile. If all of that is too bulky because of the touchscreen, Logitech’s new G Cloud handheld might be something for you.
The handheld gives us both Xbox Cloud Gaming and Remote Play as a shortcut right on the home screen, making it easy to use. With a Game Pass Ultimate subscription, we can stream games from the subscription, Fortnite can even be played completely free without a subscription. Specially purchased Xbox titles can be played via Remote Play.
More than just an Xbox: The handheld also offers integrations with other cloud services such as NVIDIA’s GeForce NOW. If you want, you don’t have to limit yourself to Xbox.
Even great titles like Deathloop, which is new to Game Pass, can be played on the handheld via the cloud.
