The DioField Chronicle is available on PC and consoles

Square Enix has released new strategy RPG The DioField Chronicle. The title is available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC (Steam). If you’re not sure if the game might be something for you, you can even play a free demo – exemplary.

The game uses a real-time combat system, also known as “Real-Time Tactical Battle” (RTTB), in which players and opposing troops move in real time and the course of the battle can take a dramatic turn in the blink of an eye. . The story takes place in a world that mixes fantasy with medieval and modern elements.

If you check out the demo, if you decide to purchase the full version, you can carry over the game progress and character levels entirely to the full version. The demo covers the beginning of the game until the end of the first chapter.

The DioField Chronicle was developed by Square Enix and Lancarse Ltd. Character designs are by Taiki (Lord of Vermilion III, IV), artwork by Isamu Kamikokuryo (Final Fantasy XII/XIII) and orchestral music by world-renowned composers Ramin Djawadi and Brandon Campbell, best known for their soundtrack from Game of Thrones.

Regular readers know my preference for Japanese titles with an anime element, so I’ll soon deliver another test for “The DioField Chronicle”. If you have already checked the game, how do you like it?
