Assa Abloy Group takes over the company

Bird Home Automation GmbH, better known under its DoorBird brand, manufacturer of IP video intercoms, access control systems, indoor stations and accessories, is taken over by the Swedish group Assa Abloy. The latter sees itself as the world market leader in the field of access solutions.

The goal now is to continue to develop and scale the business in the years to come in light of changing market demands. Incidentally, DoorBird was founded in 2014 in Germany and Berlin and the brand will continue to exist under the patronage of Assa Abloy.

Of course, the takeover announcement comes with the usual pat on the back. Both companies say the acquisition through complementary resources provides new opportunities to develop even better products for the future.
