Meta will pay a fine of 405 million euros

Matt Navarra found out a while ago that Instagram was creating a feature to repost his friends’ content. Meta confirmed shortly after that they were working on this feature and that a test with a handful of users would be done soon.

Navarra has now found said test, which appears to be taking place in Argentina. Reposting appears to be analogous to quoted tweets on Twitter. You can share a post with your followers and add a comment. The content then receives a small tag that clearly indicates that it is an Instagram post that has been re-shared.

Let’s see how long the test will last and if the function will soon be integrated into the applications of all users.
