Google has released Android 13 QPR1 Beta 2, Caschy has already blogged about it. It is available for supported Pixel devices (Pixel 4a, 4a 5G, 5, 5a, 6, 6 Pro and 6a). The next update for feature release in December will be tested there. Twitter colleague Mishaal Rahman has now started compiling the first innovations he has noticed.
Of course, this is not an exhaustive list, rather there are some visual tweaks or function optimizations that catch the eye quite quickly. These include eg. for example.:
Security Center custom interface
Clear Calling gets a new description/graphic (feature not yet available)
System language page with new introductory text and link to app language settings
In the settings, then in the applications area, there is now a reference to the battery consumption of the applications to make the adjustments.
The media player progress bar has been visually overhauled.
There’s a new toggle in the Sound & Vibration or “Media” section to show media on the lock screen.
The advanced volume settings menu is now centered instead of at the bottom of the screen.
These are just some of the adjustments. For an extended preview, check out Rahman’s Twitter feed.
