Mozilla Thunderbird: version 102.2.0 has arrived

The open source and free email program Thunderbird has been released in version 102.3.2. This is a small bugfix update. With the new version, Thunderbird tries to use POP CRAM-MD5 authentication, even though it is not offered by the server. The list of fixes reads as follows:

Message scanning for POP3 accounts locked POP folder when mail server was slow or unresponsive

FIXED
Newsgroups named with consecutive dots were not displayed when refreshing the list of newsgroups

FIXED
When sending news articles whose lines begin with a dot, these were sometimes cut off

FIXED
CardDAV server sync failed when sync token expired

FIXED
Contacts from LDAP address books on macOS were not displayed

FIXED
Chat account input now accepts URIs for supported chat protocols

FIXED
The Chat ScreenName field was not migrated to the new address book

FIXED
When creating a new appointment from the Today window, the currently selected day in the main calendar was used instead of the Today window

FIXED
The New Event button in the Today section was sometimes disabled by mistake

FIXED
Appointment reminder windows were not closing after being dismissed or put on hold

FIXED
Improved performance when calculating the date of recurring events

FIXED
Quarterly calendar appointments on the last day of the month were repeated a month earlier

FIXED
Thunderbird would crash if the calendar event crosses the year 2035

FIXED
Spaces in calendar events were not handled correctly when upgrading from Thunderbird 91 to 102
