Bose 600 smart soundbar with Dolby Atmos

Bose introduces the new Smart Soundbar 600. This offers Dolby Atmos for 3D sound. Apart from that, Bose SimpleSync is also advertised as connecting to compatible Bluetooth headphones or speakers. In addition to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, Chromecast is also included. Voice assistants such as Google Assistant (works with) and Amazon Alexa (built-in) are also compatible.

Thanks to Bose Voice4Video technology used with Alexa, it is possible to turn on the TV, change inputs and tune to the channel with a simple voice command. The Bose Smart Soundbar 600 soundbar will be available from October 24, 2022 for 549.95 euros and can be pre-ordered from today on Bose.de. It is therefore a mid-range soundbar.

Two side-firing sound transducers project sound horizontally across the room, a middle speaker delivers dialogue, and two top-firing sound transducers not only support horizontal soundscapes, but also reflect sound upwards from the ceiling. So this should provide sound from above. In my experience, it only works really well if you are absolutely in the right place. It also depends on the nature of your ceiling.

With support for all five sound converters, Bose TrueSpace analyzes other signals, such as stereo or 5.1, and remixes them for 3D sound if desired. Measuring 5.61cm high, 10.39cm deep and just over 69cm long, the soundbar fits under most TVs without interfering with the picture. It has a matte case surrounded by a black metal grille. You can connect the soundbar via HDMI (eARC) or via an optical cable.

Apple AirPlay 2 and Spotify Connect are also features worth mentioning. The Soundbar 600 is compatible with all other Bose smart speakers and soundbars for a multi-room audio system and can be combined with Bose bass modules and rear speakers. The Bose Music app lets you set up, control and customize the Smart Soundbar 600, as well as access Bose SimpleSync and download the latest software updates.
