iOS 16: Developer Beta 7 is here

iOS 16 and iPadOS 16 have been around for a few weeks now. One or both of you have probably already updated, others may still be hesitant. Apple still has work to do, to add features like the Shared Photo Library and to further refine the systems. Therefore, iOS 16.1 has been in beta testing for quite some time, now the fifth test version is available for developers.

The first beta included preparations for Matter, Live Activity API support, and more. In the second, the battery percentage display has been adjusted and the copy bug has been fixed. The third brought with it simplified management of background image combinations. In the fourth, the dynamic island has been given a gray frame if a dark background is to be used. We’ll also see if there’s anything new in Beta 5.

Of course, this also applies to the iPadOS 16.1 beta 5 developer, because the tablet system does not officially have all the innovations under the hood yet, Apple still has some work to do.

Anyone with a developer profile on the device can now update via OTA or iTunes.
