Support for Health Connect will be distributed

Google Fit from version 2.89.3 now supports synchronization with Health Connect. The latter acts as an interface to transfer your data from Fit to other services. This way you can transmit counted calories, heart rate or other statistics.

Conversely, Google Fit can also pull data from Health Connect if you’ve stored it through other apps, such as Samsung Health. When you first set it up, you need to approve what data Fit should pull from Health Connect and, conversely, what data Fit itself should store there.

It currently appears that Google Fit 2.89.3 is not yet widely distributed through the Play Store. But you can already download the app externally via APK Mirror if you want.
