Vivaldi already presented version 5.5 for the desktop last week. A new feature is a task panel in the sidebar. Version 5.5 for Android now follows. Among other things, the handling of tabs has been revised.
Browser integration has been redesigned in the current version of the app. Beginners should benefit from being taken by the hand and adapting some options to their own preferences during installation:
Another novelty and perfect for the messis of the browser: the automatic closing of inactive tabs. While the Chrome browser humorously uses an emoji (:D) to indicate that there are over a hundred open tabs, Vivaldi will in the future offer the ability to automatically close these tabs weekly, monthly or every three months. In addition, the “Close inactive tabs” button is introduced, then it preempts the automatic.
Vivaldi has also optimized some existing functions and made improvements to the user interface. These include, for example, the floating buttons in the panel.
