Other indications of the end of the Exynos SoCs

There have been rumors for some time that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S23 will only use Snapdragon chips. There’s been a lot of back and forth, but now there’s actually more solid information. Qualcomm chief financial officer Akash Palkhiwala has hinted that his employer will increase its stake in chips supplied worldwide for Samsung’s upcoming flagships.

So it looks like Qualcomm is no longer just supplying the Samsung Galaxy S flagship chips for regions like the US. Rumor has it that Samsung’s upcoming Exynos flagships won’t be able to compete with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. The gap in performance and efficiency has become too big.

The Samsung Galaxy S23, S23+ and S23 Ultra have also been spotted in the Geekbench database – all with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Still, it can’t be completely ruled out that offshoots with Exynos chips are still hitting the market. .
