Anker 3-in-1 Cube with MagSafe for iPhone, AirPods and Apple Watch review: Nice shop

Anker recently launched a new charging station. It is called “Anker 3-in-1 Cube with MagSafe” and costs a modest sum of 160 euros. I could already look at the Rubik’s Cube.

Before I come to the charger, which really does everything it promises, I need to talk about the price. In general, the prices are neither high nor low, because everyone sees things differently. At 160 euros for a charger, I still have to swallow, even if I can use it to charge the iPhone, the Apple Watch and my AirPods.

Anker hasn’t just turned its price screws lately, after years of offering really cheap charging solutions. In this case, Apple certification should also play a role. In short: I don’t see why I would recommend this edition to anyone.

Ultimately, the Anker 3-in-1 Cube with MagSafe is an Apple-certified charging station that can simultaneously charge iPhone, AirPods, and Apple Watch. The iPhone can be charged wirelessly at up to 15 watts, the remaining 15 watts are shared between the Apple Watch and the Apple AirPods.

The small cube is quite compact and has an edge length of 6 centimeters – with a weight of 438 grams. You can dock the iPhone horizontally or vertically, the Apple Watch faces the watch face up. If you only charge your watch at night, you cannot watch it, which is a disadvantage.

You have certainly noticed that 15 watts can be used. This means that charging is faster than with non-certified charging stations. Is the cube made with quality? Certainly, but the fact is that the charging area of the Apple Watch does not completely jump out or is pushed out. You have to do it yourself. The reflective surface makes me ask more of a question mark than a shrug:

What’s in the package? Anker 3-in-1 Cube with MagSafe, USB-C to USB-C Cable (1.5m) and 30W Charger. Is the Anker 3-in-1 Cube with MagSafe good for on the go? Basically yes, it is quite compact. Nevertheless, I have to say that I would personally prefer to carry a flat power adapter with the appropriate cables with me when I’m on the go, because I can still hold the smartphone in my hand when charging it. Also, although not certified, they charge slower, I find flat chargers are better for travel.

The bottom line is: classy, very high quality, does the job as promised, Apple certified. Is it worth 160 euros for you? By the way, it is available in the Apple Store, also online.
