The Sunday Cloud Gaming Review – Week 44

The Sunday Cloud Gaming Review - Week 44

The cloud gamer inclined probably already knows that a comprehensive cloud gaming-themed review by our guest author Stefan is posted here every Sunday. It brings together all sorts of exciting and sometimes insider news for you and occasionally references articles you may have already read with us during this week. Enjoy news from the 44th calendar week of 2022!

Playstation Plus

Two of November’s current Playstation Plus games are also available through the PC cloud app. Unfortunately, we don’t know when there will be an update for the remaining titles or if they will arrive at all. You have access to the Lego Harry Potter collection and Nioh. The Collection combines the two titles “The Years 1-4” and “The Years 5-7”.

On November 15, the following games will leave the service and will therefore no longer be playable on PC via the application:

  • GreedAutumn
  • Mafia: Definitive Edition
  • Mafia II: Definitive Edition
  • Mafia III: Definitive Edition
  • mount 4
  • MXGP 2021 – The Official Motocross Video Game

Since there’s no longer an easy way to tell which games are leaving the service, you really have to click through the entire catalog to find the games that are about to be removed. I hope Sony will change this soon.

Also consider the new Playstation Stars campaigns. November “Check-In” is here – just start a game to get the “astronaut character” inspired by the game Returnal. You complete the “Play Anywhere” campaign using remote play for at least 5 minutes at a time.

To celebrate Ratchet & Clank’s anniversary, new games will be added to the #Playstation Plus Premium catalog from November 15th:

  • Ratchet & Clank (PS3)
  • Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando (PS3)
  • Ratchet & Clank: Dead End (PS3)
  • Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction (PS3)

So far available:

  • Ratchet & Clank Future: Quest for Loot (PS3)
  • Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time (PS3)
  • Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One (PS3)
  • Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault (PS3)
  • Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus (PS3)

Shadow PC

As promised, we tested the power upgrade extensively and I’m really impressed with the performance and performance. We squeezed about 3 hours of it with current games into a video. Feel free to take a look:

The upgrade is currently still available. The material is ready for you in about 15 minutes on average.

What I still had to learn myself is that almost all VR glasses also work with Shadow. Maybe there will be a test from me soon. Thus, Shadow PC becomes a very serious alternative in the cloud gaming market.

Update for “Stadia Cloud Exodus Cheat Sheet”. Which Stadia games are available on which service? Now also with Blacknut. Clockwork Origins posted a blog post that also references Stadia.

That Google fulfills its obligations here is reassuring. Incidentally, the shutdown is now also visible on Android TV:

Unfortunately, the final achievement of The Darkside Detective: A Fumble in the Dark DLC is buggy. Once you have found all the images, “Case 9 completed” appears. If you then really close the box, you will see: Nothing.

Other players had even unlocked a different achievement instead of the correct one. So beware all achievement hunters!

DLC for Resident Evil Village, “Shadows of Rose”, as well as RE:Verse multiplayer are no longer available for Stadia. Ubisoft title “Riders Republic” bids farewell to Google Stadia with a final update and blog post.
