Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has hailed Mohamed Salah after the Epyptian’s brace against Tottenham, calling the 30-year-old ‘one of the best strikers you’ve ever seen’.
Salah scored two fine goals for the Reds in the first half at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and Klopp’s side held on to a 2-1 victory – their first Premier League away win this season.
Last season’s Golden Boot winner has been below his best at the start of this season but has now scored in each of his last four matches and was the star man on Sunday.
“Even in his ‘slow start’ he was involved in most occasions in European football,” Klopp said after the game.
“He didn’t take them or we didn’t take them, but for a striker it’s a completely normal phase. But everyone knows that in the end, when everyone looks back on their career in four, five or six years, everyone will remember one of the best strikers they have ever seen because his numbers will be absolutely insane.

“What I liked the most was that he scored both goals, but he played like a real, real team player. I’m not surprised by that, but it’s just important. He was also faced with these issues, slow start or whatever, and then it’s like you have to score a hat-trick or whatever. But it was first defending and then he will have his chances again.
And he added: “Really happy for him. Top performance and [he] shows an exceptional attitude.”
Salah now has 14 goals in 20 appearances in all competitions for Liverpool this term and six in 13 Premier League games.
