Security bulletin released for November 2022

Caschy had previously informed that Google had released the November update for Pixel devices, and a current Android security bulletin was still being released at the same time. The focus here is on reducing security vulnerabilities in the system. As usual, Google informs its partners weeks in advance, so certain shortcomings are often corrected in advance by manufacturers. Samsung should definitely release the first November updates in due course.

The most severe of these vulnerabilities is an elevated vulnerability in the framework component, which can lead to local elevation of privilege without requiring additional execution privileges. The severity rating is based on the impact exploiting the vulnerability could have on an affected device, assuming platform and service mitigations are disabled or successfully bypassed for development purposes.
