For the first time, Team Xbox has released a Transparency Report that provides clear numbers and additional background information on the company’s player and platform safety efforts. In the future, they want to publish such a report every six months. In Microsoft’s latest Digital Civility Index, 9 out of 10 respondents said they would like more information about measures that could make the digital world safer.

The Xbox team said it took more than 4.33 million proactive actions against inauthentic accounts, representing 57% of total actions during the reporting period. Inauthentic accounts are usually automated or bot-created accounts, which can level the playing field and hinder a positive gaming experience.

Proactive moderation has increased 9x compared to the same period last year. It helps identify negative content and behavior before players are affected.
