Adjusted rates for dynamic charging on the Supercharger

Now cheaper with rear-wheel drive

A few weeks ago, Tesla introduced dynamic time-of-day pricing for its superchargers. In this context, a reduced night rate has been introduced between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. Tesla is now announcing an extension of this tariff. The American car manufacturer offers around 900 of its fast charging stations in Europe. In the meantime, superchargers can no longer be used exclusively by Tesla vehicles.

The tariff, which was formerly a night tariff with reduction, is therefore extended. A higher price is then only due during peak hours, i.e. between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. The average price is 0.73 euros per kWh, and outside peak hours it is on average 0.65 euros per kWh. Tesla not only wants to ease the burden on customer wallets, but also on the local energy grid. Medium because compressor prices are based on current energy prices. The exact price can be viewed, for example, via the vehicle’s navigation system or the app.
