Ads under the search bar on the go

Apparently, Google is currently working on another form of advertising in its services, specifically in the Google Play Store. Apps and other content are advertised there anyway, but in the future, you might also see this advertisement when you search for apps. As reported by 9to5Google, the above screen appears on either Android device. This shows that the most recent search queries from the Play Store aren’t just displayed below the search bar, but rather apps and games that the contributor says they’ve never searched for. According to the report, the Play Store is used in version 33.0.17-21. On my Pixel 7 Pro, for example, version 33.0.16-21 is still current, so there may be a corresponding update that will also include the mentioned changes, or it was only a test for now.
