The new User Agreement allows PayPal to charge fees for inactive accounts. This does not only concern dealers, since an inactivity tax has already been discussed in 2020, but also private customers. PayPal has now introduced account inactivity fees managewho are inactive.
The applicability of service charges is limited and only affects accounts that have not been active in the last 12 months. The fee is the lesser of the account balance or 10 Euro (270 CZK, 3600 HUF). Accounts with a zero balance are not affected by this fee and the fee does not result in a negative balance, according to PayPal. If an account no longer has a positive balance after being charged this fee and remains inactive for an additional 60 days, this account may be closed at the end of 60 days.
Notifications to inactive accounts will begin on November 15, 2022. Prior to December 13, 2022, users can use their PayPal account to avoid charges for any of the following simple actions:
Contact Your account; Where
Buy and pay with PayPal wherever PayPal is accepted; Where

Important to mention, in addition to the title: Personal accounts registered in Germany, Austria, Italy, Greece, Hungary, Poland are exempt from collecting the inactivity fee for 2022.
