Booster Track Pass Wave 3 will be released on December 7

Just in time for Christmas, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for Nintendo Switch is stepping on the gas again. Wave 3 of the Booster Track Pass kicks off on December 7, paving the way for eight more revamped tracks from across the Mario Kart franchise. Mario Kart DS’ fast-paced Peach’s Schlossgarten circuit is just as much a part of it as Mario Kart Tour’s winter mountain gift offering. The latter features Christmas patterns and sounds as you zip around icy peaks and towering fir trees.

The city tours “Slopes of Berlin” and London Tour are also from Mario Kart Tour. Wave 3 of the Booster Track Pass includes the Rock Cup and the Moon Cup. Both feature classic race tracks from Mario Kart games for Wii, Game Boy Advance, Nintendo DS and Nintendo 3DS. Up to four riders can race together on one console, up to eight over the local connection and up to twelve over the online connection. Here is an overview of the cups and racetracks:

rock cut

• London Tour: Race through the British capital and around its famous landmarks in this Mario Kart Tour course.

• Boo-Hoo Valley: Oddly beautiful and misty at the same time, this spooky track from Mario Kart: Super Circuit takes you through an enchanted lake.

• Mountain Trail: beware, hairpin bends and large rocks await kart racers on this alpine track in Mario Kart 7.

• Forest of Leaves: In this piece of Mario Kart Wii, players whirl through autumn leaves and race through the tops of massive trees.

moon cup

• Pavement of Berlin: Keep an eye out for wummps and crashing rocks as you zip past the sights of Berlin on this Mario Kart Tour track.

• Peach’s Castle Gardens: Chirping birds, blooming flowers and vicious chained dogs await players on this Mario Kart DS track that winds through the sprawling Princess Peach park.

• Mountain Giving: Half-pipes and snowy hills, past giant candy canes and colorful gift wraps on this enchanting and festive track, accessible for the first time in Mario Kart Tour.

• Rainbow Boulevard: Originally created for Mario Kart 7 on Nintendo 3DS, this heavenly boulevard winds around numerous planetoids.

In total, the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Booster Track Pass consists of six separate waves, each offering eight additional racing tracks. Wave 1 and wave 2 have already appeared. With the upcoming Wave 3, half of the included 48 tracks will be playable from December 7th. The remaining 24 will follow by the end of 2023.
