It’s finally clear when the manga will continue

The Dragon Ball manga continues this year after the end of the Granolah arc.

The Dragon Ball manga has been on hiatus for a few months now. Which, given the nasty cliffhanger at the end of the last story arc, can be pretty nasty. But it has long been clear that, fortunately, this should continue this year. We now have a specific appointment and date when the next part of the story begins and finally continues. Maybe we already know what it could be.

That’s what it’s about : The last big part of the Dragon Ball manga story literally left us hanging in the summer with a cliffhanger. The Granolah arc is complete. Everything indicates that Frieza has become the most powerful fighter in the universe. But when will it finally continue?

So far, the only answer was that it would still be the case in 2022. According to an older announcement, the end of the Granolah arc and the start of the next chapter of the story should take place this year. Now we finally know exactly when.

The official Dragon Ball website eliminates all speculation and ends the wait. We now know when the manga will finally continue with Chapter 88:

• December 21 the new chapter of Dragon Ball will be released in Japan. It will likely be available in the rest of the world on December 20.

It can be: There are no proper plot and action references yet. But instead, a photo of Son-Goten and Trunks is posted on the website. But not just any, but one in this look:

So apparently standing Trunks and Son-Goten at the heart of events, at least for a time. Judging by their outfits, the events of the latest Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero movie could also play a big part in this.

Then, of course, there’s the nasty cliffhanger at the end of the Granolah story arc. If that means anything, we’d assume that Freeza will be back as a villain, stronger than ever.
