On June 14, 1963, three years after Margaret’s death, her husband Allen Ludden married Golden Girls star Betty White. They met on the set of Password, an American game show that Ludden used to host.

Like McGloin, her husband, Allen also died while battling cancer. He was diagnosed with stomach cancer in the early 80s. He also quit his show, Password Plus for this reason.

He also received chemotherapy, but later that year fell into a coma. The cause of his coma was a stroke caused by high doses of calcium and drugs he had taken to fight cancer.

This made his cancer worse and he breathed his last on June 9, 1981 in Los Angeles. He was buried in the Ellsworth family plot at Graceland Cemetery in his hometown.

David Ludden, Margaret McGloin’s eldest son, is a professor of history at New York University. He got his doctorate. from the University of Pennsylvania in 1978. The following year, he began working as an assistant professor of history at the University of Virginia.

From 1999 to 2008 he was professor of history at the University of Pennsylvania. He became professor of political economy and globalization in the Department of History at New York University in 2007, and he still is.

Sarah Ludden, Margaret McGloin’s youngest child has always been interested in martial arts. However, she did not turn pro. Instead, she worked as an audiologist and dancer.

But, later on, she decided to make a career out of her passion, so she quit her career in the entertainment industry and started her career in karate. She formed a partnership with businesswoman Nancy Lanoue to own a small karate school.

Then she moved to Chicago and joined the martial arts and self-defense center, Thousand Waves. She studied Seido karate while teaching another martial art.
