Nick Colonne was an American professional jazz singer and guitarist. Due to his fabulous guitar skills, celestial voice and dynamic stage persona, he was famous all over the world. He reached No. 1 on Billboard’s smooth jazz airplay chart eight times, and he was the only smooth jazz artist with five No. 1 hits from a single album, 2016’s “The Journey.”

Nick Colonne died on New Year’s Day
Nick died on the first day of the new year, aged 55. Although the detailed cause of his death has not yet been released, it is said that he was in pain. On December 31, he was admitted to Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Chicago as his pain worsened. In hospital, he breathed his last on January 1, 2022. The news of his untimely death left all his fans and well-wishers heartbroken.

Michael Lington, a Danish-American contemporary saxophonist and songwriter, shared videos of himself performing with Nick during the pandemic on his YouTube channel. After Nick’s death, Michael paid tribute to the late Nick Collione on Instagram by sharing a photo of them.
He wrote: “Incredibly sad that we lost Nick Colionne this morning! We all have the same experience with him – always fun and warm on stage and off. He added: “I can’t remember when we first met, but that was many moons ago. I will miss you so much my brother. TO TEAR APART”

He and even ordinary citizens shared their condolences on social media, primarily on Twitter. “Oh, high flying Uncle Nick, I’m so saddened that your journey ends here. Your memories and music will live on and we will miss you dearly. Farewell, @NICKCOLIONNE,” tweeted one of his fans.
Nich had a big impact on the jazz industry. He was one of the most renowned jazz musicians. Devoting his life to music, Nick Colonne had an estimated net worth of $2 million at the time of his death.
