The Federal Network Agency determines the undersupply of telecommunications services

Perhaps surprising for many readers: the Federal Network Agency has asked the major parcel service companies about their plans and measures for the Christmas period. Amazon Transport did not participate in the investigation, which is of course a shame – a big grave.

Despite the tight labor market situation for skilled workers, companies believe they are well prepared for the high volume of shipments to be expected. The service providers mentioned have announced that they will significantly increase their workforce. Many new appointments have already been made, but at the same time, recruiting new employees is more difficult than in previous years, especially in metropolitan areas. Parcel service providers have taken extra precautions, e.g. B. Larger scale rounds and delivery vehicles than before, extension of opening hours at branches and relay points as well as additional distribution points or regional situation centers.

“Christmas parcels must be delivered on time. It is important that parcel service providers prepare well for this year’s Christmas activities,” says Klaus Müller, President of the Federal Network Agency. “Companies tell us that they are generally well prepared. It would be gratifying if that turned out to be the case. We will continue to keep an eye on the parcel market situation. »
