Ubisoft is bringing some of its games back to Steam from December 2022

Ubisoft spokeswoman Jessica Roache confirmed to The Verge that at least some of the studio’s titles will find their way back to the Steam gaming platform next month. First up: Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, which is scheduled to open on December 6, 2022. However, it’s still unclear if these will be stand-alone releases or if they’ll be released there regularly again. Still? Yes, because until a few years ago all kinds of Ubisoft games could be found on Steam. Including Anno 1800, which according to Roache will probably find its way there. The same goes for the champions of roller skating. Ubisoft was recently represented mainly in the Epic Games Store, where publishers were reportedly offered a lot of money to offer their games there. What if you were to call a Steam Deck yours: No, there are currently no discussions with Valve about certifying the Ubisoft title for this one.
