Free Android player for YouTube music with Android Auto support and more

Have you ever heard of ViMusic? Neither do I. You should definitely check out the app if you regularly stream music from YouTube Music or plan to. ViMusic is a free player for Android that fetches and plays music from Google’s streaming service directly to your device in a sleek, minimalist design. Playlists can be imported and used, Android Auto is supported (off by default in settings) and music playback can continue in the background.

Features:

  • Play (almost) any song or video from YouTube Music
  • background playback
  • Caching audio blocks for offline playback
  • Search songs, albums, artists, videos and playlists
  • Bookmarks for artists and albums
  • Import playlists
  • Retrieve, view and edit lyrics or synced lyrics
  • Managing local playlists
  • Rearrange tracks in playlist or queue
  • Light/dark/dynamic theme
  • skip the silence
  • sleep timer
  • Audio Normalization
  • Android-Auto
  • Persistent Queue
  • Open YouTube/YouTube music links (watch, playlist, channel)

Of course, the application is not available in the Google Play Store, but rather as an APK directly from GitHub or from F-Droid or IzzyOnDroid.
