Either of you must have noticed that the FTX crypto exchange is literally going down the drain. You are insolvent, which is not a hot story in itself. The interesting thing about the whole storyline is that founder Sam Bankman-Fried and FTX are embroiled in one of the biggest scam scandals of all time. Little by little, new stories keep coming out, some of which are more exciting to read than a thriller, including how money was laundered in the Bahamas and how some of the most powerful families are involved in the stock market.
It was only a matter of time before it became a movie or a series. While Apple is still turning Michael Lewis’ book on FTX into a movie deal, Amazon has already ordered an eight-part series about FTX and its scandal, according to Variety. Behind that is Joe and Anthony Russo’s production company AGBO, which made the MCU so successful.
“We are delighted to be able to continue our excellent working relationship with David, Joe, Anthony and the AGBO team with this fascinating series of events”,… “I can’t think of better partners to bring this story to the multiple facets to our premium global video audience.- Jennifer Salke, Head of Amazon Studios.
Production is expected to begin early next year and David Weil is expected to write for it.
